Chris Ziegler

Chris Ziegler (*1963, Karlsruhe, D) is media artist and director since early 1990's of numerous international collaborations of interdisciplinary projects in the field of new media with the performing arts. Ziegler's multimedia projects, interactive installations, multimedia performances and scenographic works are presented at festivals internationally.

He won the first "Young Art and New Media Award" in Munich, was Nominee for Monaco Dance Forum Award, Monaco 2006 and won various Design Awards (I.D. Magazine 2000/2001 and "New Voices New Visions", New York 1996)

He had a teaching position in the US and Germany and was Associate Artist in the EU's Dance Apprentices Network Across Europe (DANCE). Currently he is Associate Artist at the ZKM | Karlsruhe and Researcher for "Inside Knowledge Movement" at the Amsterdam School for the Arts (AHK).
